The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence Are Serving the Special Needs Community

The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence are serving the Roman Catholic Church & Special Needs Community of Syracuse, SPAR offers persons with special needs opportunities to learn, grow in their Faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. Learning at their own pace SPAR instructs students through interactive Catechetical programming and various mediums — Writing with symbols, arts and crafts, song, drama, and liturgical sign language.

Programs SPAR Provides Various Levels of Instruction

Kids in the camp
  • Sacramental Preparation for Kids, Teens
  • Catechetical Instruction for Special Needs children, ages 6-13
  • Individualized Catechetical Instruction for those who have not had any formal religious instruction
  • Continuing Faith Formation Group for the Special Needs persons who have completed any of the previous programs of instruction

PREP

Assistance is available for students who participate in their local Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)
