Pray the Rosary

The Rosary is a form of prayer that consists of meditating on the mysteries of the life of Jesus Christ while praying a series of prayers, including the Hail Mary and the Our Father.

  • Find a quiet, peaceful place to pray.
  • Hold the Rosary in your hands, with the Crucifix in one hand and the beads in the other.
  • Make the Sign of the Cross and recite the Apostles' Creed.
  • Recite the Our Father on the first large bead.
  • Recite the Hail Mary on each of the three small beads.
  • Recite the Glory Be to the Father on the next large bead.
  • Meditate on the mystery for that decade, using the provided prayers or your own words.
  • Repeat steps 4-7 for each of the remaining decades.
  • Conclude with the Hail, Holy Queen and the Sign of the Cross.

For more information on the Rosary and its mysteries, please consult a Catholic prayer book or visit a local parish.

The Catholic Mass and Communion

The following are some important parts of the Mass Celebration:

  • Arrive early and prepare yourself for the Mass by confessing any sins, praying, and reading the Bible. This is in preparation for the sacrament of Communion.

  • Participate in the Introductory Rites, including the Sign of the Cross, the Penitential Rite, and the Gloria.
  • Listen to the Liturgy of the Word, which includes readings from the Old and New Testaments, the Psalm, and the Gospel. This is an essential part of the mass.
  • Participate in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which includes the Offertory, the Consecration, and the Communion. This is where the bread and wine are consecrated and become the body and blood of Jesus Christ, and the faithful receive Communion as described in the previous section.
  • Participate in the Liturgy of the Conclusion, which includes the Prayer after Communion and the Dismissal. This is the final step of the mass and a moment to give thanks to God for the gift of His presence and the graces received through the sacrament of Communion.
