The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence is an international congregation of sisters who believe in the dignity of every person and their place in the Kingdom of God. The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence was founded in Como Italy in 1881, by Saint Luigi Guanella. The home base for SPAR is the Holy Family Parish in Syracuse, New York and have been serving SPAR and other pastoral ministries for the Diocese of Syracuse since 2009.

SPAR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means that it is a tax-exempt organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a charitable organization. As a non-profit, SPAR is dedicated to serving a specific community or group of individuals, rather than generating profit for its owners or shareholders. The funds that SPAR generates through donations, grants, and other forms of revenue are used to support its programs and services, which are designed to meet the needs of the community it serves. SPAR's status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit also allows donors to claim tax deductions for their contributions to the organization. As such any donation to the cause are welcomed with open arms!
